G25 comprise a group of individuals, rich with experience in various fields with diverse views but a common goal and common vision.
G25 members share a common value that, while recognising Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country with Islam as the official religion , we believe that its administration should be in line with the constitutional provisions regarding the role of Islam guaranteeing all citizens their fundamental rights to freedom of expression and worship . To this end, we are all agreed that Islam must be administered in a manner that ensures justice to Muslims and non Muslims alike, as this is crucial for peace and stability in our multiracial country.
G25 is a group of influential Malays and as such, we believe we are in a better position than other civil society organisations to play a constructive role as the voice of moderation on religion . Further we can also make a difference as an advocate for change and reforms to strengthen the institutions of law and order and improve the standards of governance in the administration of the country. The basic principles of good governance are integrity, transparency and accountability. G25 supports these fundamental principles of a clean government.
